Invisible Mercedes
You have seen movies with invisibel cars but have you ever seen a real invisible car? Well now you don`t have to look far.
In the video the car actually looks like its invisible but is it? Its actually covered in LED and has a camera on both sides so when you look at it you see the other side, when you are actually staring at an image.

Peeta vs. Gale: Names in the Games
Lately some of my students have been making comparisons between the alpha male rivalry in The Hunger Games and Twilight. And it's no mystery what team Suzanne Collins, author of the series, is on. At least in Twilight, both of the hunks have somewhat ordinary names. Edward is a bit more geeky, but even Jacob sounds like a boarding schoolboy in a sportscoat.
Now in The Hunger Games, one of the lead lads is named Peeta. You name one of your main characters after a piece of bread, and then to make matters worse it turns out he's the son of a baker?! Why don't we just call him hot pocket?
It's really not fair for our dough boy, especially because he has to go up against Gale. Of course Gale is strong, lean, knows his way around weapons--a real outdoorsy-type. His name means "strong wind." The dude is practically a Navy SEAL. He's eats people like Peeta for a snack while tracking down wild antelope in the forests of Panem, using only the sun as his guide. The guy is a Greek god in the making.
I will say that a Peeta becomes a bit more studly as the series progresses, but that's mainly because Gale is stuck back in the woods shooting deer with his boyscout abilities, while Peeta is cuddling Katniss in a cave and performing other acts of valor in the games.
Peeta is a good guy. Maybe the best guy. But will it be enough to overcome his bread-based name? Will Gale live up to the unstoppable force of his own label? Or will Bakery Boy take the cake? For these two boy wonders, the game's in the name.
Pick your team.

FACEBOOK!!!
I am really mad today because it`s been raining all day today and all the girls at my school are scared of rain! They scream and run like its poision pouring from the sky, and then I have to do this post and A LOT of other homework.
I don`t really know/care about how Facebook works because I am too ``young`` to have an account on it. think its kind of dumb to post pictures of your-self on the Internet, and tell people who you are and where you live and all that stuff. It`s sad how many people died last year because of what someone else posted on their Facebook account for the WHOLE world to see. People spread lies about others on Facebook and Facebook does not anything to stop it.
Facebook is the MOST popular site in this world. It should have some defence for their users. People post stupid stuff on it everyday about anything. I think Facebook is a stupid because it`s just this cheap site that people use to show other people how stupid they are. Half the people can`t spell and have really poor grammar. I mean how stupid can you get! At least put a spell check and grammar check thing on it!
I think even when I am old enough I would skip the part of my life where I create a Facebook account because it is so NOT worth the time.

Give the Gift That Keeps on Giving...Recycle!
Recycling, what a small word but it means so much to this big world. What would a world without recycling be you wonder? Well, I can tell you it will not be a pretty sight. Just look at the pictures below.
Well, the point is if you don`t recycle this whole Earth will slowly loose all of its natural resources. Like if you don`t recycle paper you will have to cut down more trees to make more paper, plus the paper you just threw in the trash takes up space in the landfills.
Or take the debate over plastic or paper bags. Which is better? Well, I can tell you neither. Both are hurting the environment. Plastic, if thrown out it will take many years to decay. Paper, you get it from cutting trees. Use one of those cloth bags. The ones you can reuse over and over again. Some of them have pretty good messages on them. There was one I saw a while back, it said, ``Every Year I use This Bag A Tree Grows A Ring`` (you can tell how old a tree is by counting its rings, don`t take it laterally).
I mean you don`t want to live in the world of WALL-E. Its a great movie. And you certainly don`t want to be ``fluffy`` like the people on board the Axiom. It sounds great to be out in space but seriously, do you really want ot leave your home?
There is no other planet out there that we know of that can support life. So try to keep the only one that is. We are the only planet so far with life. With our beautifull animals and landscapes. Lovely parks and waterfalls. If we don`t do anything now, we will not be able to anything AT ALL later on. The choice is yours, but remember what goes around comes around again.

Yes, I took those picture from a movie but if trash keeps growing at this rate, this animation will become reality. We need to keep this planet clean. Scientist are trying to find more planets to put people on if this ever happens. Guess how many they have found so far? One, and its called planet Earth.
Yep this is the only planet in the whole Multi-verse (turns out there is more than one universe) that can support life. Fascinating, right? A lot of people on our planet don`t take care of it. Don`t become like them! Some people don`t believe in recycling. They say ``what`s the point?``

Born For A Reason
Do you ever feel like you don't fit in? Like people are not going to accept you for who you really are? Like the only way to stop them is by being someone else? If yes, then you know what its like to be me.
When I was in fifth grade I used to hate myself. I was new to the U.S.A. and didn`t speak English very well. Kids at my school used to make fun of me a call me names and stuff because I was quite and VERY Innocent. I used to come home and cry myself to sleep. I hate that feeling. I wanted to change myself so badly. I wished I could be so many weird things. Like I wished I had blond hair and blue eyes. Well, like everything, fifth grade came to an end and I graduated from elementary school and was off to middle school.
Sixth grade was AWESOME! I found/made a little group of people who I could call friends. People who I could trust and know wouldn`t make fun of me behind my back. I was so happy. This all happened because I didn`t become someone else. I believed in who I was and stuck to it.
I mean who are you trying to fool? It might work on your friends, your teachers, even your parents but to you, you would always be the same. Face it, you can`t run away form yourself and you shouldn`t have to because you are who you are because of a reason. All these things in the world like Plastic Surgery and stuff are things to distract us from our main goal.
People say thing to you and you should never let that stand in the way of who you are. Its wrong to change yourself because you are unique. You were born a original. Don`t become a copy. Why live to please others? I mean its your life. It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. Enjoy who you are. Don`t hate yourself for who you aren`t.

New Year?
Have you ever wondered about all the weird traditions and symbols on the New Year? Like New Years Resolutions? Or using a baby as a symbol for the new year? Well, look no fearther.
The New Years Resolutions began by the ancient Babylonians. Popular mordern day resolutions are to quit smoking or losing weight. But the early Babylonians most popular resolutions was to return borrowed farm equipment.
The tradition of using a baby started by the Greece around 600 B.C. It was their was to celebrate their god of wine, Dionysus. By parading the baby in a basket to represent the rebirth of their god as the spirit of fertility. Early Egyptians also used a baby as a symbol of rebirth.
Traditionaly, new year foods are supposed to bring you good luck. Many clutures believe that circular food can bring you good luck because it means ``coming full circle``, completing years cycle. The Dutch believed that eating doughnuts will bring you good luck on new years.
Another very common tradition is champaign toasting at midnight to welcome in the new year. This tradition started back with the Greece and Romans, who would pour wine to those attending a religious function. The host would drink the wine first to make sure it was not poisoned. It was fairly common to poison the wine because that way you could get rid of your enemies.
Toasting got its name from a kind of weird tradition. Back at the time of Romans and Greece the wine was not as pure as it is today, so what they would do is place a square of toast to absorb the acidity. The toast that was floted in the wine would be eaten by the last person who drank the wine. Eventually, the act of drinking in unison was called a toast, from the act of putting a square of toast in the wine.
These are some of the weird tradition and how they originated. Its kind of cool how somethings we did now were done by the Romans and Greece. Sometimes we don`t even think about where these traditions come from. We should think about it some times and the people long ago because without them our New Year will not be the same.
